Tell us if you’ve heard this one before. A former Disney star is ruffling feathers in the entertainment industry for shattering her “good girl” image and becoming her unapologetic self.

If there was anyone to inherit Miley Cyrus’ tongue-wagging mantle, it’s Bella Thorne, the 19-year-old star who came up on tween series “Shake It Off.” In her post-Disney career, Thorne has thrown PR caution to the wind, embracing a legion of followers who like, tweet and share her unfiltered thoughts in startling numbers.

Thorne, who announced that she was bisexual on social media earlier this year, now says that she’s experienced backlash from studios who consider her new persona to be a bit much.

“It is hard in this business for us. It really is,” she said of her coming out in Hollywood in a recent Maxim magazine interview. “I have already had people talk shit to me. And it comes from people in the industry, not even fans. I’ve had studios tell me my image is too ‘out there,’ hinting at it but not really saying it.”

Being open about her bisexuality was something of a non-issue to Thorne, who says she “didn’t even think about it.” When a fan on Twitter asked if she was bisexual, she just responded with a simple “Yeah.”

Despite an icy reception from some studios, however, Thorne has lined up an impressive string of projects as of late. She’s set to headline the new Freeform show “Famous in Love” come April 2017, as well as appear in the indie drama “Shovel Buddies,” “Boo! A Madea Halloween” and “The Death and Life of John F. Donovan” with Jessica Chastain and Kit Harington.

“People tell me all the time about my social media and my Snapchat, but I’m not going to change myself for this business,” Thorne added. “I’m not going to change myself for anyone else.

Never change, Bella. Never change.
