Caitlyn Jenner took the high road while responding to the transphobic jokes Ricky Gervais made about her during Sunday night's Golden Globes.

Jenner joked about replacing the British comedian for next years' Globes during a Television Critics Association press conference.

"On Ricky, I think what I’m gonna do is call the Golden Globes and see if they need a new host for next year and we'll solve that problem," said Jenner, who was at the conference doing a panel discussion for Season 2 of her E! show, "I Am Cait."

The comedian tweeted out his support for Jenner's new hosting gig on Friday morning, while recirculating one of his Golden Globes jokes:

And later posted an Instagram directed toward the "Caitlyn Jenner responds" stories:

At last. She always brakes too late.

Gervais struck a nerve with viewers on Sunday, as they found his jokes about Jenner to be pretty offensive.

"But as I said, I'm going to be nice tonight -- I've changed," said Gervais during his opening monologue. "Not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously. Now Caitlyn Jenner, of course. What a year she's had."

Gervais continued, "She became a role model for trans people everywhere, showing great bravery in breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes … She didn't do a lot for women drivers, but you can't have everything, can you?"

Never one to back down, Gervais tweeted out support for his own jokes on Tuesday.

Ugh. We'll see you next year, Caitlyn!
