Carli Lloyd Isn't Done Scoring Goals Just Because The World Cup Is Over

She's on an incredible scoring streak.

Carli Lloyd extended her goal-scoring streak to a seventh straight game on Wednesday -- a run which dates back to her scintillating Women's World Cup performances.

Lloyd scored in the U.S. women's last four matches to carry them to the World Cup title and since she's returned stateside, she's scored three straight games for the Houston Dash, including against FC Kansas City in NWSL play on Wednesday night.

Her Wednesday night goal happened in the 85th minute with the score tied at 2-2. She received the ball with a huge swath of green in front of her, took one touch and said "to hell with this."

HOLY GOLAZO. RUN THAT BACK. IMMEDIATELY.

MY GOODNESS! Allowing the best soccer player in the world right now THAT MUCH space is a bad, bad idea. Actually, whatever, it's awesome -- Lloyd kicked herself into high gear and delivered a frozen rope of a shot -- she's keeping the momentum of the Women's World Cup not only alive in her game, but in the minds of American fans, as well. (U.S. lawmakers are taking notice too.)

She's now scored back-to-back game winners for the Dash, who are fighting for a playoff spot with six games left in the season. The Dash take on the Washington Spirit this Saturday. Will Lloyd score again in some ridiculous way? At this point, there's little reason to think that she's won't. For club and country, Lloyd's been a match-winner all summer.
