Chrissy Teigen Roasts John Legend Over That 'La La Land' Oscar Loss

"Not this year."

In 2015, John Legend won Best Original Song with rapper Common at the Oscars for the “Selma” tune “Glory.” In 2017, Legend’s work was up for another award after he appeared in the Best-Picture-nominated “La La Land,” which famously lost to “Moonlight” after a mix-up at the event on Sunday.

The singer’s wife, Chrissy Teigen, has refused to let the loss go by without comment.

In a series of videos posted to Snapchat Monday, the model-slash-social-media-queen teased Legend relentlessly by telling her followers ― and once, a van full of tourists ― that her husband won an Oscar! Just not this year.

Legend, who appeared onstage at the event with co-stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling before the “Moonlight” cast and crew claimed their rightful spot, had tweeted his congratulations for the year’s Best Picture winners earlier.

“It truly is a beautiful film. Well done,” he wrote.
