Damon Albarn Gets Carried Off Stage In Denmark After 5-Hour Set

The Blur frontman was physically carried off stage after refusing to stop playing.

During a recent concert in Denmark, musician Damon Albarn was carried off stage after performing a five-hour set.

The Blur frontman performed for The Africa Express Project during the Roskilde Festival on July 4 along with fellow musicians Songhoy Blues, Nick Zinner, Jeff Wootton and Seye Adelekan. After the set, which Pitchfork reports ended at 4 a.m., Albarn was told to stop, but he refused to. Instead, he motivated the crowd to keep on cheering so he could continue playing.

The Gorillaz co-founder had the crowed so riled up that security came out on stage and physically carried him off. The excitement took place while Albarn was singing a cover of The Clash's "Should I Stay Or Should I Go," and judging by the video below, the crowd definitely wanted him to stay.
