Class is almost back in session at Degrassi Community School, and we can already tell there's going to be plenty of drama.

Netflix just released the first trailer for "Degrassi: Next Class," the newest season of the long-running Canadian teen drama, which is set to premiere in January (it will also air on the Family Channel in Canada). The streaming site ordered 20 episodes of the show following Nickelodeon's decision to drop it after 14 seasons. (TeenNick and MTV both aired the show.)

The minute-long clip gives us everything we'd expect to see inside the halls of Degrassi: love, crushes, fights, fails, and of course, heartache. It also offers a look at the new students enrolled at the infamous school. There's no Drake (aka Aubrey Graham, aka Jimmy Brooks) cameo, but hey, we can dream, right?

Included in the new crop of students are: Yael Baron (Jamie Bloch), Esme Song (Chelsea Clark), Vijay Maraj (Dante Scott), Goldi Nahir (Soma Bhatia), and Baaz Nahir (Amir Bageria).

Amanda Arcuri, Reiya Downs, Ana Golja, Nikki Gould, Ricardo Hoyos, Ehren Kassam, Andre Kim, Lyle Lettau and Richard Walters are among the many actors returning from "Degrassi: The Next Generation" to reprise their roles.

In a statement obtained by CBC, the show's executive producer Linda Schuyler expressed her excitement about working on the new series, saying, "We are energized and excited to work with Family Channel as we tell stories for the new post millennial teen cohort known as Generation Z, most of whom weren't even born when Degrassi returned in 2001."

We've never been more excited for a new school year to start.

"Degrassi: Next Class" premieres Jan. 15 on Netflix, and all 20 episodes will be available to stream immediately.
