Detroit Roads And Bridges Getting Overhaul With $187 Million Investment In 2013: MDOT

Local Roads Getting HUGE Investment

(DETROIT) -- In some welcomed news for motorists, the Michigan Department of Transportation announced Thursday that it will invest approximately $187 million towards improving roads and bridges in the Detroit metropolitan area.

The department says the investment will be in the form of contracts awarded in fiscal year 2013, to improve about 80 miles of pavement and repair 15 bridges in Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Wayne counties.
