Twitter Applauds Trump's Demands For 'Law And Order'

But not the kind he meant.

During the first presidential debate, Donald Trump doubled down on his claim that, if elected, he’d bring “law and order” to America. The phrase harkened back to the rallying cry used during the fear-mongering circus that was this summer’s Republican National Convention.

Twitter users responded to Trump’s promise to tackle crime and bring back stop and frisk, the controversial (and largely ineffective) police practice that was ruled unconstitutional in 2013, with their own demands for law and order. Just not the kind he likely had in mind...

Current and former staffers of the beloved TV show weren’t quite as thrilled with Trump’s comments, though.

Whatever your reaction to Monday night’s debate was, we can all probably agree on one thing: Olivia Benson for president!

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
