Every Britney Spears fan on earth has fantasized about recreating her iconic “Toxic” video since it first taxied into our hearts in 2004.
Now, in an act of fierce dedication and fiercer dance moves, one flight attendant has actually done it, on an actual plane.
Malaysia-based AirAsia employee Assraf Nasir took a sip from the devil’s cup and recreated the iconic in-flight video, in which Spears plays a futuristic flight attendant with all the right moves and ever-changing hair color. In true Spears fashion, a uniformed Nasir is seen dancing around the plane and perfectly lip-synching to every word.
Nasir does a pretty spot-on impression of Spears in the video, which was posted to Twitter by his co-worker Roberto Angkin. He sings into the intercom and even uses the beverage cart as surprisingly sexy prop.
All that’s missing is a nearly naked crystal bodysuit and Tyson Beckford on a motorcycle.
We’re filled with envy, admiration and most of all respect for this guy, who even earned the praise of AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes.
“Classic,” Fernandes captioned the video on his own Instagram account, adding, “The talent in Airasia never fails to amaze me. @assrafnasir is the best. Love it that staff can just have fun and be themselves.”
“I used to be a performing arts teacher before I became a flight attendant and dance has always been my passion,” Nasir told The Huffington Post. “Once a dancer, always a dancer. The video was meant to be for some close friends and I didn’t expect it would go viral and receive such an overwhelming response, but I guess when you work for a fun company, fun is never far away.”
Indeed. Now excuse us as we watch this baby, and the video that inspired it, one (or 100) more times.
