George Clooney Might Quit Acting Because He Doesn't Think Anyone Wants To See Him Age

George, you have never been more wrong in your life.

George Clooney sat down with BBC News and revealed that he might quit acting because he's getting long in the tooth.

"I think nobody really wants to see anybody really age," he said, laughing. "It's a very unforgiving thing, the cameras, and so aging becomes something that you try to do less and less on screen, you know? You try to pick the films that work best for you and as you age, they become less and less."

While we totally disagree with Mr. Clooney, thankfully he won't be leaving the industry altogether. There is a spot for him behind the camera. The 54-year-old, who stars in the new "Hail, Caesar!," has already directed multiple films, including "The Monuments Men" and "The Ides of March."

"It is my great love, and I do enjoy it a lot," he added. "As you age on screen, you get to that point where you really understand that you can't stay in front of the camera for your whole life. So it's much more fun to me, and it's infinitely more creative, to be directing."

As long as there's a George Clooney in Hollywood, we're set.
