When I first saw the HTC HD2, I was quickly drawn in by the massive 4.3 display. I was first introduced to the HD2 at the T-Mobile "Come Experience The HTC HD2" special media event in NYC. It was a great event where T-Mobile representatives were giving a one-on-one demo of the handset. I was very pleased with the Sense UI overlay. Sense, is simply a good looking interface that this uncomplicated and uncluttered.
The handset has an impressive list of installed services -- my favorites are : Blockbuster, Barnes and Noble and MobiTV. It is social media ready with Facebook and HTC Peep for Twitter. It also comes pre-loaded with Transformers 1 and 2 which look simply stunning on the 4.3" display.
The HD2 is a monster of a handset -- a Goliath of the mobile world if you will. The display is the centerpiece of the HD2 experience. The edge to edge glass makes watching videos, viewing pictures and even reading books captivating. The call quality on T-Mobiles network was good. I was pleasantly surprised -- I am an AT&T iPhone subscriber so call quality is normally sketchy.
My only recommendation would be for a migration plan to Windows Phone 7 series. Unfortunately, I am told that there is no migration plan.
