Woman Opens Up About Life With Heroin Addiction In Outspoken Interview

The West Virginian made the powerful statements before being taken to jail.

On Wednesday, West Virginia’s WSAZ posted a video interview to their Facebook page featuring 35-year-old Lisa Marie Stone, a woman who was recently arrested on prostitution charges. She describes in raw and frank terms her longstanding struggle with opioids, saying she’s been using heroin for about 14 years.

Stone asked reporter Tim Irr if she could make a statement before being taken to jail. Still in handcuffs, she speaks candidly about her substance use disorder, the damage it is doing to her life and the hopelessness she feels.
