Lana Del Rey just got a master class in what happens when you make untoward comments in a public light. After the singer cited Kurt Cobain as an idol in the same breath during which she said, "I wish I was dead already," Frances Bean Cobain -- daughter of the late Nirvana frontman -- took to Twitter to urge Del Rey to "embrace life." Cobain unleashed a series of tweets over the weekend encouraging Del Rey to not "romanticize" the death of young musicians. The "Ultraviolence" singer's fans quickly harangued Cobain.

On Monday, Del Rey jumped into the conversation with Cobain on Twitter, putting what we hope is an end to the back-and-forth that's come from Del Rey's controversial interview with The Guardian:

@alka_seltzer666 it's all good. He was asking me a lot a out your dad I said I liked him because he was talented not because he died young-

@alka_seltzer666 the other half of what I said wasn't really related to the people he mentioned/ I don't find that part of music glam either

Now that everyone has said their piece and then some, let's lay this discussion to rest.
