Lyn Farmer Of Miami Wine And Food Festival On Chat Chow TV (VIDEO)

Lyn Farmer: 'Wine Is A Vehicle'

"Wine is a vehicle," says Lyn Farmer sagely. "It's no fun by yourself."

Farmer should know. A widely published writer on wine and food, he is also Senior Editor of The Wine News magazine and has been honored with the James Beard Foundation Award for best writing on wine and spirits, the most prestigious award in the wine and food. His basic -- and beautiful -- premise is that “behind every bottle of good wine, there is a great story, and in every great story there is an interesting person – the story of a wine is a story of people.”

Farmer is also the director of the United Way Miami Wine and Food Festival, which over 17 years has raised more than $10 million for charity. Watch above as he waxes poetic about rotten grapes, the "asylum" behind the scenes at the festival, dining habits, and pea soup with parmesan foam.
