A Kentucky man is facing charges after authorities say he stole another man’s farm animals and then offered to return them on the condition that he'd have sex with him.

Rodney Brown, 25, was arrested Monday on charges of promoting prostitution, theft by unlawful taking, and third-degree terroristic threatening, authorities said.

That follows the Monticello man allegedly stealing 25 roosters, a goat, rooster pens and other tools, WKYT reported citing a Dec. 21 arrest report.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Brown also threatened to harm the man if he reported his demands to police.

Text messages citing Brown’s demands were allegedly found on the victim’s cell phone, WKYT reported.

Brown was booked into the Wayne County Detention Center before released on the condition that he stay away from the animals’ owner.

In a couple posts on a Facebook page appearing to belong to him, he expressed surprise in the allegations, though he did not cry foul.

In one post on Tuesday, he said he wonders “how some people can do what they do.”

A request for comment was not immediately returned.
