Comic book fans, rejoice! This week at O Cinema, the theater is hosting a comic con experience of its own with the screening of popular comic books turned into movies as well as the documentary about the father of all comics in "With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story."

This documentary starts with the budding artist’s Depression-era roots into his time as a central figure at Marvel Comics. Today, this real life super hero’s work is seen in more than 1 billion copies of comics in 75 countries and 25 languages.

Lina Wertmüller’s controversial 1974 film about a rich woman who becomes stranded on a Mediterranean island with her community yacht captain. Although they can’t stand each other at first, they soon see more in each other than they thought. The dramedy makes points about sex, love and politics that would later be remade in 2002 with Madonna. Italian with English subtitles.

Winner of the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards in 2011, “In Darkness” tells the true story of sewage worker Leopold Socha who helped hide Jews in a Nazi-occupied Polish city for 14 months. At first he sees it as a business opportunity, accepting money to hide the persecuted in the sewers, but it turns into a mission as the world up top becomes more dangerous and the people around him more suspicious.
The Misfits

Marilyn Monroe plays the recently divorced Rosylyn, who through her new friendship with three men (Clark Gable, Eli Wallach and Montgomery Clift) experiences freedom and happiness for the first time. However, as she falls in love, she must make a choice.

In this film, by “American History X” director Tony Kaye, Adrien Brody plays a substitute teacher (alongside a power-packed cast) who makes all efforts to never bond with his students or fellow teachers. Before the Rains

Henry Moore lives with his wife and son in 1937 India and employs a woman, Sajani, as their maidservant. Her brother, T.K., is asked to join the freedom movement to liberate India from British rule, and his thoughts that the status quo is best changes when he finds out his sister is having an affair with Moore.
Follow Me: The The Yoni Netanyahu Story

A sneak preview of the documentary telling the story of Yonatan Netanyahu. As the commander of an Israeli army commando unit, he led the rescue mission at a Ugandan airport in 1976 to free 248 passengers held hostage aboard an airplane.

This illustrated film tells the story of jazz pianist Chico and the beautiful singer Rita. When they come together in 1940s Havana, their love takes them to the United States and back to Cuba in time for the revolution.

This French Canadian film is about a elementary classroom suffering from the loss of their favorite teacher. A new Algerian teacher, Balchir Lazhar, comes to replace her and tries to help them through their loss while becoming the new head of the class. The students become close to him, finally meeting a teacher who challenges them to become better, smarter people. French with English subtitles.
