That Awkward Feeling When You're A Switch Pitcher Facing A Switch Hitter

Such awkward. Much wow.

Being able to pitch with both arms might seem like an advantage -- but it can certainly lead to some awkward moments when facing a switch pitcher, we now know.

Pat Venditte, the switch pitcher who was called up by the Oakland A’s last week, went up against switch-hitter Blake Swihart of the Boston Red Sox on Friday. And, well, yeah, it got weird.

There was a lot of “Er, wait, I think, can I switch? Is he switching? Uh, yeah. OK, what? Who? Where am I? Hello?” It was beautiful to watch. There is no larger point to this post except to bask in a little awkwardness.
