Who would have thought that Kristen Wiig's off-putting roommate in 2011's "Bridesmaids" would make a pitch perfect transition to Hollywood and headline her own comedy, "How to Be Single"?

Rebel Wilson is the January covergirl for Cosmopolitan U.K., as well as the magazine's Ultimate Woman of the Year, because there's simply no one like her. The actress' success has largely hinged on capitalizing on her individuality, something that immediately set her apart from the pack of Hollywood hopefuls.

"Being unique and different was a really good thing," she explained to the magazine. "When I walked into my agent's office for the first time, they looked at me and said, 'Wow, we have nobody on our books like you.' And they signed me on my second day here."

Although she's recently locked horns with the Kardashian clan, Rebel revealed she has no interest in being in competition with "the really gorgeous people."

"I wouldn't ever want to compete with what I call 'the glamours' -- the really gorgeous people. I'm about the brain, the heart and what's on the inside. I feel really lucky to be the body type I am," she said.

However, there is one "glamour" Wilson is willing to hang out with: everybody's favorite friend (seriously, how does she have time to see all these people), Jennifer Lawrence.

"She is just the most naturally hilarious person. She's way funnier than me and a real story-teller," Wilson admitted. "If she was in a comedy, she'd smash it. We'll hang out or have a barbecue. That's the cool thing about living here [Los Angeles] -- you get to meet so many people you respect and work with."

And work is what she's focusing on. Wilson reportedly dated comedian Mickey Gooch Jr. up until September of this year, so she's single, but isn't waiting around for some guy to sweep her off her feet.

"It's good because I do whatever the hell I want," she said. "My mum really sacrificed her life when she started having us kids, and so she always encouraged us to go out there and chase after our dreams and live our lives. I'm hoping the right guy will come along. But if it doesn't happen, I'm alright."
