Rosario Dawson’s cousin died last week after being found unresponsive by the actress in her Los Angeles home.

Dawson returned to her Venice Beach apartment on Thursday to find Vaneza Ines Vasquez unconscious downstairs and immediately called the paramedics, who attempted to resuscitate her, TMZ reports. Vasquez was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, People confirmed.

The 26-year-old, who was working for the actress at the time of her death, reportedly was experiencing migraines and hypertension. An early autopsy report indicates that her death was due to natural causes, according to TMZ, but a toxicology report has yet to be released.

Dawson has yet to make a public statement, but Vasquez’s mother, Lisa Centeno, shared a touching memorial to her daughter on Facebook Monday.

“Vaneza, my sweet, sweet beautiful baby — your passing has left me destroyed forever but I know you are at peace in Paradise,” she wrote alongside a photo of her family holding each other at the beach. “I love you, my alpha child.”

HuffPost has reached out to Dawson’s representatives and will update this post accordingly.
