Minnie Driver has a starring role on the critically acclaimed sitcom “Speechless,” but, if she had it her way, she’d be on “Game of Thrones.”

The actress sat down with The Huffington Post during a Build Series interview this week and relived her fangirl moment with the “GoT” cast at the HBO Emmys After-Party last month. “I’m a total Throner,” she said. “I embarrassed myself [at the after-party]. They’re so unimpressed, I mean, they’re sooo annoyed. I was just another simpering idiot in a big dress going, ‘I love you. Can I get a picture? Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, that scene when you, like, save him? I can’t!’ Like a fool. It must happen to them all day long.”

Driver admitted she “tried, trust me” to get a part on the hit HBO fantasy series, but, like everyone else in the world, begging David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for a part wasn’t going to cut it. Still, Driver was just happy to be breathing the same air as her favorite on-screen characters for a few hours.

“Emilia Clarke is, hands down, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life in the flesh. You want to poke her to see if it’s real, she’s buttermilk and rainbows. And I love her, inside and out,” Driver gushed. “And the rest of them are exactly as you’d imagine. Kit Harington just makes your jaw drop. And Gwendoline [Christie], Brienne of Tarth, is just a heavenly, very slender mountain. She’s amazing.”
