The State of the Union address has been given a cinematic makeover.

CNN has reimagined President Barack Obama's final speech to Congress as if it were a Wes Anderson movie, borrowing some of the techniques used by the Oscar-nominated director of "The Royal Tenenbaums" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel" to explain how Tuesday night's speech will unfold.

There are symmetrical shots, a quirky host talking to the camera and vivid colors -- all of which will look familiar to Anderson's fans.

There's even a hilarious slow-motion sequence of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, set to music from the "Royal Tenenbaums" scene in which Gwyneth Paltrow's character, Margot Tenenbaum, approaches her brother Richie, who had been away at sea.

CNN wrote on YouTube that the "tradition, pomp and quirks" of the State of the Union speech were "straight out of a Wes Anderson movie." The 3-minute, 51-second film was posted online Sunday and is going viral.
