Taraji, Kerry And Mary J. Redefine Squad Goals In New Apple Commercial

Unprecedented amounts of Black Girl Magic in only 62 seconds.

Ava Duvernay directed an Apple Music commercial that aired during the 67th annual Emmy Awards Sunday night and it was nothing short of magical.

The 62-second commercial features an all-star crew: Taraji P. Henson and Kerry Washington show up at Mary J. Blige's house and Slick Rick's "Children's Story" blasts from the speakers while Henson reminds us that "the turn up is real."

Blige dusted off her old mixtapes for a nostalgic afternoon of jamming to music with her girls. By the end, we forgot we were watching an Apple commercial and thought we were in a black girl utopia. Squad goals, for real.

Unsurprisingly, viewers loved it -- you can't put this much awesomeness in one commercial and NOT expect Twitter to go nuts:

Duvernay tweeted that this commercial is the first of three she's directed for Apple Music and the following two will roll out this week. If they're anything like the first, keep them coming, Ava.
