Taraji P. Henson isnβt here for 50 Centβs latest online jab at his ex, Vivica A. Fox. On Wednesday, 50 Cent posted a photo on Instagram of Fox beside a mugshot of βBotchedβ patient Rajee Narinesingh, whose face was disfigured by bad plastic surgery.
In his caption, 50 Cent wrote βI donβt know why people would want to cross me,β and added, βI told you POWER was the show to watch. π€ Now Empire lol.β
The rapper has been hating on βEmpireβ since it first premiered, based on superficial similarities between the shows. 50 believes that the promotional images, taglines, and plots of βEmpireβ are too similar to what βPowerβ is doing. Last year, Vivica A. Fox (who dated 50 Cent in 2003) joined the cast of βEmpireβ to play the older sister of Taraji P. Hensonβs character, Cookie.
Evidently, 50 Cent isnβt happy about it.
Enter Taraji P. Henson, who threw some epic shade on Wednesday when she commented on the rapper-turned-actorβs post. Not only did she tell him to use his platform to uplift and unite people rather than tear down people like his ex (and Rajee Narinesingh, who doesnβt deserve to be shamed for her appearance), she also implied that his bad attitude might be the reason βPowerβ has yet to receive any Emmy nominations like βEmpireβ has.
βMaybe your karma is blocking your blessings,β Henson wrote, adding the hashtag, β#Emmys.β
Hensonβs entire response (and Vivica A. Foxβs approval) was captured by The Shade Room below:
50 Cent has yet to respond directly to Henson, but he did post a picture of himself and Samuel L. Jackson that seemed to be a subtle clap back at Hensonβs diss about βPower.β
βI study Sam Jackson, in his career he didnβt get the accolades connected to great work he did, but he didnβt slow down,β he wrote in the caption.
Good luck with that, 50.
