Ted Cruz's wife is a managing director of Goldman Sachs and the firm loaned Cruz money for his Senate campaign. Hedge fund billionaire Robert Mercer has donated millions to his super PAC. As a New York business tycoon, Donald Trump runs in Wall St circles, and would appoint hedge fund billionaire Carl Icahn to Treasury. Despite these ties, the two are Tea Party favorites and the current Republican frontrunners.
