The next time you ask Tom Brady about politics, he’ll pass.

The New England Patriots quarterback revealed Wednesday he is under a gag order from his wife, model Gisele Bündchen, to discuss the presidential election or anything else in the political arena, outlets report.

Brady became part of the pre-Election Day hype earlier when Donald Trump declared Monday at a New Hampshire rally that he had the popular player’s support. But Bundchen had indicated on Instagram that the couple was not supporting the then Republican nominee.

“I talked to my wife, she says I can’t talk about politics any more. I think that’s a good decision, made for our family,” Brady told reporters on Wednesday.

Asked why he gave permission for the now-president elect to declare his endorsement, Brady said, “So you’re assuming I gave people permission.”

In a general thought on transition and presidential elections, Brady said that he’s always happy when people experience success. “I was happy when President [Bill] Clinton won. I was happy when Barack Obama won ― twice,” he said. “.It’s all competition.”
