That didn’t go well.
From President Donald Trump’s refusal to shake hands with Angela Merkel in the Oval Office, to the president’s insistence yet again that he was a victim of wiretapping to the aghast look on the German chancellor’s face when she got a load of Trump, the meeting between the state leaders Friday was a bust.
The only chortling amid the screams were tweeters, who landed a few humorous jabs at the president’s expense.
There were those who were sad to see Merkel leave:
