As Mariah Carey once informed us, "There can be miracles, when you believe."
Apparently, all that believing has finally paid off because her interview on "Watch What Happens Live" on Tuesday night is truly a gift from above.
When host Andy Cohen inquired about Carey's iconic retort to a question about Jennifer Lopez ("I don't know her"), the shade only got shadier, as she struggled to cobble together a single nice sentence about the pop star.
Explaining that she's a "very forgetful" person, Carey admitted that she probably met J.Lo briefly, but in the land of glitter and butterflies that doesn't mean she knows her. And when asked if Lopez "seems cool" (10 points, Andy), Carey seemed physically unable to give her formal rival a compliment, launching into an unnecessary explanation that not everyone in Hollywood loves each other.
Tell us something we don't know, Mariah.
"I'm not gonna put on a thing like, 'Oh, we're all Hollywood and let's just all pretend we're best friends cause we're in that land,'" she said. "It's no offense to anybody. It wasn't like I don't know who she is. That's not the question."
Thankfully, Carey does reserve praise for Beyoncé, calling her "cool" and "super talented." We don't know if the world could handle a Beyhive/Lambily battle. No one would make it out alive.
