Watch Katy Perry Painfully Remind Ellen That, Yes, She Married Russell Brand

Face, meet palm.

Since Katy Perry is hellbent on doing the absolute most lately, she brought her pixie cut and the pee stories (you read that correctly) to the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday for her first televised interview since announcing her new album, “Witness.”

Because Ellen is, well, Ellen, she subjected the the pop star to a round of “Will You Perry Me?” in which Perry was forced to choose between two celebrity male suitors all in the name of charity. To convince Perry to play, DeGeneres pledged to donate $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Before Perry was faced with the decision between bedding the likes of Harry Styles and Leonardo DiCaprio, she joked about the terrifying prospect of being married for a second time, which completely flew over the talk show host’s head.

“You weren’t married!” an incredulous DeGeneres said.

Perry historians will of course remember that, before paddleboarding with Orlando Bloom and undergoing whatever shower regimen one has endure to get over John Mayer, she married Russell Brand in 2010. The pair split after 14 months of marriage and reportedly haven’t spoken since.

“It’s been a long time, honey. No wrinkles, no lines! What a time to be alive,” Perry joked. “His name was Russell Brand.”

Let this be a reminder to all that the cinematic treasure “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” documenting the demise of her marriage, is widely available ― and begging for a re-watch.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article misstated that DeGeneres donated $10,000 for every answer.
