Willie Robertson, star of "Duck Dynasty," will host a new Fox News Radio podcast premiering on April 4. He will also join the network as an official correspondent, the media outlet announced Thursday.

"The Willie Robertson Podcast" will focus on issues of "faith and family," not illogical topics for a man who appears in an A&E show about his own family that often references their Christian faith.

Robertson, who also serves as CEO of duck-hunting merchandise maker Duck Commander, has previously appeared multiple times as a guest on Fox News segments.

In January, Robertson formally endorsed Donald Trump for president, calling him "a friend of the Second Amendment."

"I do like me some Trump, I’ve got to admit," Robertson said at last September's Oklahoma State Fair, where Trump held a campaign event.

“Here’s the deal: We’re both successful businessmen. We both have pretty big shows on television,” he said. “We both have wives that are 1,000 times better looking than us. So I like Trump.”

Editor's note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.
