Eric O’Keefe is the author of The Cup, the dramatic story of Damien Oliver’s epic journey to the winner’s circle in the 2002 Melbourne Cup. Eric also co-wrote the screenplay for the movie version of The Cup with Australian director Simon Wincer. The feature-length film is slated for release in 2010. Based in Dallas, Eric has covered Thoroughbred racing on four continents. He freelances for The New York Times and is editor-in-chief of The Land Report, the Magazine of the American Landowner.
