Erik Ringmar is professor of Social and Cultural Studies at the National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He got a PhD from Yale University in 1993 and between 1995 and 2007 he taught at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Erik is a Linux user, a Bob Dylan fan, and he likes to eat roast duck. He lives deep in the Taiwanese mountains surrounded by gorgeous females (one wife, four daughters). His book, A Blogger's Manifesto: Free Speech and Censorship in the Age of the Internet, was just published.
