Ernest James Wilson III, Ph.D., is Walter Annenberg Chair in Communication and Dean of the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California. He was elected the first African-American chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in September 2009.He served as a senior staff member of the National Security Council in the Clinton White House where his portfolio included public diplomacy, and worked on the Obama presidential transition team. He is also an Adjunct Fellow at the Pacific Council on International Policy working on “Silicon Valley’s Foreign Policy.”
