Evan J. Garza is an independent curator and Editor-at-Large for New American Paintings and New American Paintings/Blog. He has organized several exhibitions nationally, is a member of the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), and was Curator at Villa Victoria Center for the Arts in Boston’s South End from 2008 – 2010. He has been a contributing writer and critic for Art Lies, ART PAPERS, Flash Art International, Art21, Time Out Boston, Glasstire.com, and several publications, and was the weekly “Museums + Galleries” columnist for The Boston Phoenix from 2008 – 2009. His current curatorial projects include "Not About Paint" for Steven Zevitas Gallery, Boston.
