Evan Thomas, author of "The War Lovers: Roosevelt, Lodge, Hearst and the Rush to Empire, 1898," is one of the most respected historians and journalists writing today. Two of his previous titles were New York Times bestsellers: Sea of Thunder and John Paul Jones. Evan Thomas was made editor at large of Newsweek in September 2006.
