So, the other day I flicked on the YouTube and all that was available to watch were Japanese cats doing something incredibly cute. Bah.
It seems the same thing happened to someone at a marketing agency called Wongdoody. Perhaps delirious after hours of watching YouTube clips of people's pets, the agency has launched a slightly absurd and hilarious new campaign for Quizno's featuring singing cats, called -- and I'm not making this up -- the 'Singimals.' (You can watch the video here.)
There's more.
Quizno's is also challenging consumers to create their own Kitten Idols: beginning August 2, 2010, Quiznos is holding a contest challenging consumers to create music videos utilizing the song from the 5, 4, 3 "Singimals" commercial. Consumers will have six weeks to enter, followed by a two week online consumer voting process to determine the three winners. The Quiznos creative team will define the top 10 video submissions for consumer voting. The three winning creators will win $5,000, $4,000 and $3,000, respectively, and the top song will debut on national television or radio.
Here we go: cue endless videos of cats and sandwiches. (Do cats even eat sandwiches?!)
And me seeing what I can stream on Netflix.

No, they eat cheeseburgers, where have you been????
I also hated their other commercial with singing rodents and told them as much on their website.
That is all.
