"The chicken is fried to order so you have to wait at least 20 minutes and it is the perfect amount of heat(spicy). They also had 4 sizes of Budweiser to choose from: 12oz, 16oz, quarts and a forty if you want a cold beer to go with the chicken."

I make the best fried chicken that there is. Here are two of my secrets, but there is a lot more to this. One is, I take buillon cubes and crush them into a powder and add this powder to the flour coating mix. A second secret is I use good pizza flour, not that cheap plain white supermarket flour. Sorry, is all I'll fess up to here....Alfie-

AQ Chicken in NW AR beat all I have ever tasted. Not only is the chicken wonderful, but they have HUGE yeast rolls straight from the oven.

Next to AQ I think Church's Chicken is the best. I detest a lot of spices in my chicken, I prefer only salt and pepper.

Gus' fried chicken is very tasty and I used to always stop in Memphis for it, but the last 2-3 times it was waaaaaayyyyy over salted and even though I called in my pick up order an hour ahead it wasn't ready when I got there.

Honestly...my own favorites are Babe's in Garland, Texas and Chicken Mary's and Chicken Annie's in Yale (Pittsburgh), Kansas. If these places are better...well...I just can't damn see it, that's all. Particularly with Babe's. That is hands down the best fried chicken on Earth.

i guess technically my aunts house.she and my other aunts who got taught by my grandmother who was from georgia made the best fried chicken ,greens, potato salad and corn bread on the east coast.i can eat her chicken 7 days a week.what really augments her chicken was the side dishes.if you can master the side dishes and a good sweet tea you dont need to go to a chicken joint.god i miss my grandmom but my aunts make up for her.all southerners can cook .

For those of you without easy access to good f c joints, try Tutu Tillett's recipe. Brown paper bag, flour + a little cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika. Toss the chicken pieces. Fry in a large cast iron skillet. Drain on another brown paper bag. Devour at will. Easy, cheap, and your grandchildren will revere you for life!!!

That's the Maryland Fried Chicken recipe in my 50 year olf Betty Crocker recipe book. Make sure the chicken is cooked all the way through by lowering the heat and keep frying at a lower temp.

I have a soft spot for Stroud's here in KC. Fried to order, and the meal is served family style at your table. It's a once a year or so thing, but very good. If I need a fried chicken fix and don't want to make it myself, Popeye's is my go-to.

I have had Fried Chicken in all parts of the U.S.A. and all over the world and nothing beats Stroud's. It was even chosen on the Food Networks "Best Thing I Ever Ate".
