It's only been a few weeks since I started blogging about my spiritual beliefs. And honestly, one of the overriding fears in regards to writing about my beliefs was the fear of rejection. But rejection wasn't all that I feared it would be. I'm still standing strong, firm in my...

I'll let you in on a little secret. Drinking coffee, for me, is more like a great love affair. Yes, I said it, a L-O-V-E affair. Why not love? I mean, what is love anyway? Lots of definitions of love say it's a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another. Or...

Why I Believe This Image Is Really 'God,' Not God-zilla

(5) Comments | Posted August 14, 2014 | 3:04 PM

I have to say I'm more than amused by the collection of answers received on what other people think they see in this image of clouds. I've heard it all. "It's the Hulk, Homer Simpson, Big Foot, Elvis, a transformer, and even Arnold Schwarzenegger in his younger years." There are...

I grew up the second oldest of six children, with a mother who was both selfless and strong. She was an endless caretaker who demonstrated her love by slaving away in her kitchen day after day to cook for her large family. As a little girl I watched her as...

From 2000-2010 my husband and I were one of those couples -- you know, labeled "spouses selling houses." You see, we both came from modest, middle-class families. And for awhile we were living the American dream with our ascent toward financial security being one of the smoothest of paths until...
