Francesca Koe is the Director of Campaigns for the Natural Resources Defense Council, a non-profit organization with more than 1.3 million members and activists nationwide that has been working to protect our health and the environment since 1970.

In addition to developing strategic campaign priorities for NRDC, Francesca is also an active ocean advocate.

An avid water-woman, freediver and Scuba Instructor, Francesca played a pivotal role in establishing Marine Protected Areas of the North Central coast of California.

The editor of DeeperBlue.com, Francesca holds advanced teaching qualifications from both the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and the Divers Alert Network (DAN), and serves as the President of the Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association.
