How to Annoy PETA and Monsanto, Part 2 of our Interview with Food, Inc Director (VIDEO)

What's Your Reaction:

Robert Kenner may have annoyed Monsanto and the others in the food industry, but you may be surprised why PETA hates him. Kenner discusses who's attacking him now in this interview with Planet Forward.

How do you reduce food's carbon footprint? The production, transportation and sale of food requires millions of barrels of oil and per year. Kenner argues maybe science can help us find a solution. One that helps us maintain cheap food prices, but doesn't come at such an environmental cost.

Monsanto has developed a website devoted to dispelling the "myths" of Food Inc and the American Farm Bureau has called the movie "an assault on food production and agriculture."

Watch now and see why Robert Kenner has become such a controversial figure on both sides of the aisle.

For the reason to learn to grow your own food or at least know your farmer. I also think we should start teaching kids about growing food so they will learn and not have the excuse of " I cant grow anything".

Everyone should watch this movie. It will move people to at least start thinking outside the box. This cannot go on much longer, and for the large corporations who fight this, they will find themselves backed into a corner sooner or later and somehow will be exempt from any responsibility for what they've done. Americans and the rest of the world consume too much meat and you never know the quality of it. As far as affording organics, there's ways to cut other spending in a budget to allow for better quality food. Try cutting your cable and phone bill expenses and other discretionary costs, you'd be surprised how much money you can save each month to go to better quality food.

Well, Monsanto has knowingly and selfishly issued an assault on the American farmer, as well as the nation's health, so I guess we're all even-Steven!

I watched Food Inc. for free on Netflix last weekend and it moved me to change my buying habits. Fortunately there is a Whole Foods not too far from me so organic vegetables are readily available as is non factory meat. Yes, the meat is more expensive so I am tending to buy less of it and eating smaller portions (not a bad thing).

Another good one to watch is "The Future Of Food".

I am so fortunate to live in an area where we have local farmer's market 5 days a week.

If you go a long time without meat [awesome], be sure to find plenty of alternative protein sources. Beans are a very good source.
