If you voted Republican on November 4th, you have every right to rejoice in your party's victory, at least until newly elected Republicans take office and attempt to impose their will on the masses.
Across the country, Republicans were elected who don't believe in climate change, who want to eliminate universal health care, social security, food stamps, the minimum wage, unions, public education, a woman's right to an early term abortion, a woman's right to contraception and so much more...

Did I mention the pro-gun teenage girl who tows the tea party line and the Congresswoman from Tennessee who says women don't want equal pay laws.
The most outrageous outcome was the win by Republican Joni Ernst, who will replace Senator Tom Harkin from Iowa. Joni's initial claim to fame was her ability to castrate pigs. The new senator-elect should realize that many of us with farm backgrounds have the same skills but we would never list it on our resume. For some reason, republican voters thought it added greatly to her qualifications to be a United States senator.
Prior to the election, I said November 4th would be a sad day for Republicans. Obviously I did not believe it but in fact, it may prove to be true because the voting majority elected too many fringe candidates who are ill-prepared to govern Democrats and independents who far outnumber them and don't share their views.
This is a recipe for a political disaster in 2016, especially since they are faced with another 60 million Americans who are eligible to vote and never registered because most of them feel disenfranchised by the political system. As proof, look at these voter stats.

As a result, in 2015, Americans will be governed by a fringe group of the far right.
By sitting it out, they gave away their right to complain about the low federal minimum wage, the growing police state and a dozen more policies that exacerbate economic and racial discrimination and reduce personal liberty. Those democrats deserve everything that follows.
