Hi! My name is Gabriel Mizrahi.

I currently work at Cirque du Soleil, where I help design the company’s strategy, explore partnerships and business models, and analyze new products and services.

Before Cirque du Soleil, I was a management consultant at Deloitte. I spent three years in North and South America helping companies grow, launch, acquire and other verbs too. It introduced me to the world and helped shape a lot of my views about business and hotel points.

I’m also a writer. I’ve worked on pop music, articles, TV and film. I also jump on various podcasts and stages in L.A.

Travel is a huge part of my life. Last year I became one of the first Americans to visit North Korea, the latest stop on my world tour. Upon returning I created The North Korea Blog as a hub for interesting and funny content from the hermit kingdom.

I then created All Up On That, a digital one-man-show that was once described as “the incisive reflections of a veritable savant” by a journalist who later lost his job but had excellent taste.

Come visit me here.

Kim Jong Il's funeral on Wednesday was the latest spectacle in a regime well-versed in totalitarian theater. The death of the Dear Leader, with all of the pomp and histrionics of a Kim family event, marks the third act in North Korea's 60-year tragedy. It is also a reminder that...
