Serve Your Way to Success: An Interview With Deremiah *CPE

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

Each day we have unlimited opportunities to step forth with unconditional love for our fellow man and be of service to one another. These opportunities for kindness with no expectation in return often show up in unexpected ways.

One night about ten years ago, I was walking to my car in the Salt Lake City airport parking garage with my ex-husband and children around 11pm on a Saturday night. A well-dressed man with two little girls approached us just as we got to our car, asking for $20 to pay his parking tab. He was embarrassed as he explained that he'd lost his wallet in his travels.

As I immediately reached into my purse, my husband asked me to take the kids and get in the car. Handing my husband the $20 I'd gotten from my purse, we got in the car, knowing that my husband would help him. A minute later when my husband got in the car he boasted that he wasn't being scammed by this guy and proudly drove away without helping the man in need. I was overwhelmed with disappointment and sadness. We had so much and $20 wouldn't have made any difference in our night or life, but to this man in that moment, it was everything.

In sharing this story, many understood my dismay in the situation while others said it was better that we didn't give because it "wouldn't have been smart". In retrospect, I wonder, when is it okay to give or serve others and when is it "not smart"?

Perhaps we should have accompanied the man to the garage attendant and paid the parking directly. Maybe if he hadn't had two little children with him I wouldn't have felt so badly afterward for leaving him stranded.

Maybe we were being scammed, but to me, it didn't matter. Even if he was doing it to earn $20, his need was greater than ours. As we drove home that night, the words of Khalil Gibran from his book, The Prophet, kept playing over and over in my head...

"You give little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. And he who has deserved to drink from the ocean of life deserves to fill his cup from your little stream."

When we allow others to fill their cup from our little stream, it's funny how our stream always remains full. This Universal law has proven true time and time again. And yet, knowing this, it still amazes me how sometime we can be so clueless with one another.

No matter what religious path we follow, 90% of the teachings from most religions are about kindness and loving one another. Yet, there seems to be some incongruity in the world with the delivery and implementation of this message. Too often we get caught up in the moment and think of ourselves first. We assume that someone is running a scam on us and ignore a request for help. We live from a place of scarcity and "save it just in case we might need it later" rather than keeping the stream of life flowing.

Each day we have the choice of selfishness or selflessness. Too often we're running late for work and flip off the person who pulls out in front of us in traffic. We're short tempered with the barista at the coffee shop for taking so long because we're in a hurry. We say we want peace on earth but don't think that applies to people we don't like in our own little world.

But what would it look like if we lived our life from unconditional love for one another? What if we woke each morning and asked, "How can I serve today?"

Today's Inspirational Luminary, Deremiah *CPE does just that. I've never met anyone who gives so much to so many, with no thought of what he'll get in return.

His philosophy is simple...

"The greatest thought of wisdom I could share with you is to SERVE your community with passion. Give them all you have. And give it every bit of all you've got. SERVE your way to SUCCESS. Nothing holds you back if you are willing to give it all up for the sake of serving. If you are to become great, serve. Serve others so that you will have enough energy, vitality and life to serve again. Serve your family, serve your community, serve your company, and eventually you will serve your country and they shall tell the world about the passion of how you lived your life so wonderfully."

I invite you to listen to our interview and try this concept out for yourself. You never know- it just might bring peace, joy and happiness into your life instead of frustration and disappointment. And the best part is, there's little to lose and a lot to gain.

We invite you to listen to today's FREE Inspired Interview with host, Gail Lynne Goodwin, Ambassador of Inspiration from InspireMeToday.com and today's guest, Deremiah *CPE.

Deremiah is a TRUE giver. That's the kind of person who gives... and expects NOTHING in return. (Not even a "Thank You") I know, I've recieved from him before, then he immediately asks what he can do for me next!

But the really cool thing is this. Once he touches your life, you'll find the inspiration to become a true giver too. It's infectious.

Thanks for being YOU Deremiah!

Your friend,

Mike Morgan

Deremiah was a shining spark in my life from the moment I met him through Alida Fehily, a mutual FB friend. He is a powerful soul with the capacity to move the masses with his enthusiasm, entertainment, wisdom and humility to serve. Not only does he reach out in word, but he walks the talk, serving soul by soul, with whatever specific need he or she may have, great or small. Deremiah is a true leader whose integrity of character and energy are unforgettable and totally lovable! I am so blessed, grateful and happy whenever I get the chance to connect with Dee(nickname) in whatever shape or form. I love you, Dee...

Deremiah is out to make a profound, fundamental difference to the lives of young people. That is who he is. Along the way he inspires others to take up their own cause and believe in themselves. He is someone who believes in people, and in making the the kind of difference he makes, he is relentless.

I have been watching this man for a long time now and there is no let up. He reminds me of the quote, giving the definition of 'Character': The ability to see through an idea long after the enthusiasm in which it was conceived has passed." If this is the definition of character, then Deremiah has it in spades. He is even more enthusiastic now than he was before!

I'm looking forward to meeting him soon, during our world schools tour ..... Rob Daniel, Western Australia, Children's Motivator.

Heeey Rob Daniel's, you being an expert at motivating children yourself fully understand my desperation and hunger for not only AMERICA to STOP and make some adjusting changes for children but I also challenge the world to do the same. Almost everyone loves children but our love is sooo fragemented and seperated that our efforts can only end in a poor example of failure. Thank you for your passionate expressions which are sooo much appreciated and encouraging. I bow to you and thank you for all you have said. Now I know through what you do with raising the self-esteem of children I no longer STAND alone in my efforts but I have a friend and commrade who stands with me way off in Australia. I look forward to seeing you on the Oprah Show one day soon. Thanks again my friend. KEEP SMILING...I love you.

Thank you for giving me the chance to say my word about him...and I said only little...

Hey Deremiah *cpe* the BIG SMILE of the Babushka Happy Campaign bringing great happiness each day to me on facebook! Deremiah is amazing support to our work! He started a 21 Day VIDEO Campaign supporting PEACE in OUR Lifetime's GLOBAL UNITED PARTY! To get people aware of . http://www.peaceinourlifetime.org/peace_day_21st_sept_2009 Event . We have spent Year creating this with Onternational Artist playing worldwide to bring Awareness to the work of Peace One Day and that it is a CEASEFIRE which few seems to realise allowing 1.4 million children in Afghanistan to be immunised! Deremiah's heart is always supporting everyone. We're bringing attention to PEACE JAM!, the Nobel Laureates work with Youth bringing forth the next generation of PeaceMakers, the YMCA Jerusalem PEACE Pre-School where children under 5 from all religions coexist and do not learn they are different. With Deremiahs support ~ We are Changing the way People see the world.. He's generous, inspirational and each day we greet each other in service inspired by him... SO Hey HUFF hope you love it and will help us AND Deremiah shine!!! As He has been a major source of supporting and keeping Me and all of us perky so we keep making this happen. Deremiah *CPE is a Man among man! He shares from his heart and truly cares. I came across him on Facebook and always remember his words that he wrote on my wall, "How can I serve you?" ... He continues to serve with his words of wisdom, his smile, his music and most of all, his love for all. In today's world, it is rare to find an individual truly committed to the good of all - a man who walks his talk - and is going to make a difference in more lives than he already has. I know I have stolen his lines and I seriously ask everyone to think about if every conversation began, "How may I serve you?" and ended with, "I love you." what would world be like then ... Because of Deremiah, we may soon find out!

Deremiah is one of the people who I have met online that I often speak of with friends and colleagues. I am forever impressed with his depth of purpose and centredness on his core truth which I believe is connected to us all.
He is able to pare away layers on each subject whether it is simple or complex and unveil something in an unexpected way. I{ am often surprised and moved but how and what he does.
He is quick to put himself out there and fearless in making himself outrageous as he calls people to connect with their truth and purpose.
Always fun to see him around the social media platforms.
