Gavin Creel is a singer, songwriter, actor and advocate whose third studio album is set for a spring 2012 release. Most recently, Gavin helped bring Dustin Lance Black’s 8 to Broadway for a one-night-only reading to benefit The American Foundation for Equal Rights. Broadway performing credits include playing Claude in the recent revival of Hair (Best Actor Tony nomination), Jean-Michel in La Cage aux Folles, and Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Best Actor Tony nomination).  Other theater credits include the West End productions of Hair and Mary Poppins (Bert), the world premieres of Prometheus Bound (American Repertory Theater) and Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Bounce (Dir. Hal Prince), Bat Boy (Off-Broadway), Honk! (American Premiere) and The Mystery Plays (Second Stage/Yale Rep.).

Creel's debut pop album, GOODTIMENATION, was released in 2006, followed up by his more intimate acoustic EP, Quiet, in 2010. He has performed his music to sold-out crowds all over New York City at venues such as Joe’s Pub, Arlene’s Grocery, The Fez, Feinstein’s and Irving Plaza.  Creel can also be seen alongside Julie Andrews as Bill in the television movies Eloise at the Plaza and Eloise at Christmastime.

He is a proud member of The Broadway Inspirational Voices and is a co-founder of Broadway Impact, a grassroots organization of the theater community and its fans, mobilizing in support of marriage equality. For more updates and info, check out GavinCreel.com.
