Todd Palin "First Dude" Makes Local Campaign Stop [VIDEO]

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

(Pittsburgh, PA) Todd Palin, "The First Dude" of Alaska and the husband of Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin campaigned locally for Sen. John McCain; KDKA's Ross Guidotti reports.

Couldn't make it to this big big campaign stop in Pittsburgh, PA? The Dude abides saying:

Some big issues in this election that some support and some don't support. Ah, Senator McCain and Governor Palin, they support the second amendment rights. Senator Obama, he calls us, ah, he thinks 'we cling to our guns because we are bitter.'

And a former Hillary supporter deploys her sour grapes for McCain: "The last man who told me 'get in line,' I divorced him."

What is it about McCain - he is surrounding himself with unvetted, unqualified nobodies. I/m sure Todd Palin is a fun guy; somebody to throw back a couple of cold ones with. Sarah seems to be congenial and likable too. In fact, they are probably great next door neighbors. No doubt Joe the plumber is great at a party too. Belching the alphabet and lighting farts - what a hoot. Seeing as though he is really isn't a licensed plumber and he owes back taxes, I really don't have any idea why he would want to campaign with McCain next week. Do these three people really exemplify American values? Does the McCain family extol American values? No they don't. In fact very little of the McCain campaign could be considered a shining example of what it means to be American. Country First my *ss.

First time I've heard him speak. Too bad that seceding thing didn't work out for him. I would've loved for that to have become an issue in that group! Wish SNL would take that ball and run with it.

In the scheme of things hunting and fisihing rights are your main concern?

The out of contect Obama quote is so tired: What middle class person isn't bitter about the SH*** that has been haded to us? Please!

For that Hillary supporter: I'm an African American woman too and you should be ASHAMED of yourself! How can you support a ticket that is using racism to win votes? SAD!

Todd is more articulate than Sarah from what I can tell.

He sounds like the "typical Alaskan" as described in the web page of the local Radio Talk Show from Alaska - high school drop out.......

How ignorant was that woman who was a Hillary supporter who is now going to vote for McCain??? She said the last man that told her to get in line she divorced and when asked if that is why she is voting for McCain, because Hillary lost to Obama she said no.. it was because she has been following the issues. OH MY! Someone better educate that woman on McCain's voting record for women's issues! About McCain's total lack of respect toward women! She is totally unaware!

I am not trying to be mean, but it was embarrassing to listen to this "conversation". I am sure that these two representatives of the state of Alaska represent all Alaskans abilities to speak, but they do illustrate the need to improve their verbal communication skills, something we "lower 48'ers call education.

There are a lot of very brilliant people in Alaska...unfortunately, this is the other end of the spectrum.

Talk about going to the past. Didn't Govenor Palin say they should stop going to the past and look to the future? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Obama's comment was taken out of context or he didn't say it in the best way, but he took the time to apologize and correct what he was saying. Why in the world is the first dude going backward? Another political ploy..we ain't buying it. We really don't want to hear Mr. Palin's political views unless he cares to explain AIP. I'm interested in hearing about his involvement with this group. Why isn't the media covering some real news like these folks who are trying to get into the white house and they are involved with groups that don't want to be a part of the US. This sounds anti-American if you ask me.
