Gina Glantz was a 2009 Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School Institute of Politics. Previously, she was Senior Advisor to President Andrew Stern of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and National Campaign Manager for Bill Bradley for President. In 1985, she co-founded the consulting firm of Martin & Glantz, specializing in grassroots organizing and communications strategies to affect public policy. Ms. Glantz chairs the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, is on the Board of Demos, a non-partisan public policy research and advocacy organization, and serves on the National Leadership Council of the Association of American Colleges and Universities. Ms. Glantz graduated from the University of California at Berkeley.

I am rethinking my attitude toward the President and health care. I have been quick to criticize him, and he alone, for ceding his principles, first to bi-partisanship and then to bi-ideology (that is, reaching way beyond the responsible right). I no longer think he should be singled out.
