Gissou Azarnia currently defends accused persons charged with war crimes before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, The Netherlands. She has previously worked on various initiatives for women's rights in her parents' native Iran. She received her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden and her B.A. in political science from the University of California- Los Angeles.
