Not having a child vaccinated puts all kids at risk: the children who don't receive protection against a disease, and the children around them who are now exposed to a disease by way of the vulnerability of their unvaccinated friends. Diseases like diphtheria, measles and influenza type b are like Jason in the Friday the 13th series -- they never really die. Kids in the U.S. are routinely vaccinated for: diphtheria, measles, mumps, Hib (haemophilus influenza type b), influenza, whooping cough, pneumococcal disease, polio, rotavirus (the most common cause of severe gastroenteritis), rubella (German measles), tetanus (lockjaw) and chickenpox (vericalla). Because of immunizations, most of these diseases are now at their lowest levels in history, with an 83-100 percent decrease rate in cases per year.
One concern raised is that kids receive too many vaccines--being vaccinated against as many as 14 different diseases before they are 2-years old. The debate is over. Banks and Poling demonstrate to an evidentiary standard that vax cause asd in susceptible kids. As Dr. Healy says, the challenge now is to identify the kids at risk.
Before you go spouting off, this is the same standard you cite to claim that Wakefield's research is not valid- an evidentiary standard.
BTW- reviewing Simon- Murch and Walker cv, they are astoundingly well qualified in their fields. It is unfortunate for them (and science) that they are collateral damage in the well financed and orchestrated campaign to bring down Wakefield.
If the GMC laid charges against the doctors today, they would only need to prove them on the balance of probabilities, the civil lawsuit standard of proof. Fortunately for those who believe that Wakefield, Walker-Smith and Murch were very much in the wrong, the three of them could slither out of from under an allegation if the allegation was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Those are legal standards. The 'vaccine court' is a statutory compensation process and a 2005 Court of Appeals decision interpreted the statute's necessary standard of proof. It is a standard unique to the vaccine court. I would argue that it is very low, but in any case it is a standard defined by a court case based on the governing statute.

I got H1N1 the first day it was available to me. I did not get 2009-2010 seasonal flu because in Ontario, the decision was made to delay vaccination with seasonal flu vaccine in those under 65 until after everyone who wanted H1N1 vaccination in the fall had an opportunity to do so. By that time, it was clear that H1N1 has almost completely displaced the seasonal influenza A and influenza B strains so there is no sense getting a vaccine for viruses that are not infecting anyone. In addition, I have waning immunity because there was little change between the 2008-2009 vaccine strains and the 2009-2010 strains.

Vaccination holds infectious diseases in check. Without vaccination, over time, practically every child will get measles. just to name one disease and a very few SSPE. Over time, rubella will return and we will need more facilities to deal with the problem of children who are blind at birth. Clean water, antibiotics and sanitation cannot prevent SSPE or blind children. Vaccination can.
So - you prefer building more "facilities" to deal with the problem of autism?
I can't speak for others. But, if my children were "blind" - as horrible as that would be - I could hold normal conversations with them. They would face better odds of living a "normal" existence. There is a blind man that lives down the street from me. He goes out for walks alone...and does lots of other "normal" things by himself. At this point, I don't envision my daughter going out for walks "alone".

I certainly do not mean the needle-happy scattergunning of vaccines which benefits no one except the Big Pharma companies who make the stuff. The ongoing cash cow Big Pharma and their Congressional lickspittles have created is doing more harm than good.
It's not the ethyl mercury in the vaccines that does the harm. It is the vaccines themselves. The pharmaceutical companies have created an epidemic of autistic children, but they don't care.
Fifty years ago, the incidence of autism in males was 1 in 25,000. In females, it was unknown. Today, the incidence of autism in males is greater than 1 in 100, and in females, 1 in 150.
You don't get a two order of magnitude increase in autism in children, and only in First World children at that, unless there is a causal agent at work. The one thing that First World kids get which Third World kids don't is over-vaccination.
I saw it happen with my own son. He went from being a normal 16 month old to being an autistic child literally overnight after he received the measles vaccine. He's come a long way back thanks to a strict dietary and supplements regimen; but we don't know if he will ever be normal.
Don't let the government tell you what shots they have to get, and when. File a vaccine exemption citing religious grounds if you must.

I searched the web pages of njuries and injuries continued at the website you named looking for the start of the word bulimic and found only one child with bulimia --- your daughter. I also searched for the start of the word anorexia. I would have expected, even in a small sample of girls, more than just the one child with an eating disorder. How do you explain this if the vaccine is to blame?
