GoDaddy Super Bowl Commercial: Latest Racy Ad Features Body Paint (VIDEO)

First Posted: 02/ 5/2012 10:27 pm Updated: 02/ 6/2012 3:54 pm

There's no question GoDaddy's sexy Super Bowl ads have raised some eyebrows over the years. And the 2012 commercial, in partnership with .CO, is no different.

Starring Danica Patrick and Jillian Michaels, the ad features the pair discussing the .CO domain site while painting a .CO logo on Colombian model Natalia Velez.

Next, the duo take a step back to admire their naked work of art. Implying that Velez is completely nude, the ad then suggests you visit the company's website to view the full clip.

Fans took to twitter giving the ad mixed reviews.

Don't feel bad, Patriots: Tonight's loser was GoDaddy.

Julie Calzone
- great company. GoDaddy - awful commercials.

Hey ladies, we didn't complain about the Beckham underwear commercial. Leave alone.

For years, viewers have tuned into the NFL's Super Bowl as much to see what the advertisers roll out as how the two teams vying for the sport's top prize perform. This year is no different. Each time that NBC cuts away from Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and New England Patriots a hush will come over most Super Bowl parties as everyone -- and not just the diehard sports fans with a rooting (or betting) interest -- focuses entirely on the ads.

While iconic Super Bowl commercials like Apple's '1984' and Coke's ad starring Mean Joe Greene will be remembered so many more are soon forgotten or, even worse, ridiculed as super fails.

How does this Super Bowl ad stack up?

Godaddy supported and was exempt from the SOPA / PIPA legislation because THEY HELPED DRAFT IT. I have absolutely no ambition to do business with them ever again, and I encourage others to follow suit.

Unless a women's shoulders and belly have suddenly become a big no no on television that commercial is harmless.

Same old "See More Now" gimmick for what seems to be an eternity.

Show some creativity or just pack it in.

What I find hilarious is if I need to go on the internet to "see more"... why would I go to their site? There are better places, and they let you "see more" than you will at their lame site.

Do not use big corporate american companies! They are ripping you off, their servers are slow, huge bottlenecks. Find an independent!

Just the opposite, their servers are great. Probably the best web host I have used.

I have been in IT for over 20 years, they like Network Solutions, 1 & 1 and all the big guys are the slowest but go ahead and believe what you want.

But I'm interested to know what you find so great about them.

Why does GO DADDY even still exist?
Their commercials get worse every year.

Maybe these commercials wouldn't SUCK so bad if Danica and her girlfriends just got NAKED already!

Actually, I think many places also offer hosting services as a tie-in. But you're right, they aren't the same.

Danica Patrick in Go-Daddy commercials is proof that average chicks get hot after 5 beers and 2 quarters. SUPER BOWL e-cards http://crassecards.com

Here's what annoys me about the GD.com commercials. One, While Danica is nice to LOOK at, her personality is so sexless it's cringe-worthy. I love Jillian Michaels, but mostly when she's not wearing too many clothes. The face ain't good, but the body rocks to no end. Finally, they need to end this "log on to see more." You don't see "more." You see a PG-rated extended edition. Lame.

Not only is it a lame it is selling a pathetic product.   The .co domain is the country-code-domain for Columbia.  They are selling Colombian domain names.  No real entrepreneur would launch on a .co when the .com was taken because people would too often type in .com out of habit.  But what they are really hoping on is encouraging the roughly 16 million people who have a .com domain but not the .co to feel that they have to register the .co (through GoDaddy preferably) in order to protect their web presence from imitators and cyber-squatters (you will note that Huffpo has already done this with huffingtonpost.co).  Then what next year?  There are 54 different country-code top level domains available for general registration.  Not to mention the currently open application period for a new phase of top level domains.

Its like a giant shakedown racket against the owners of web presences.

Agreed. It's a waste of time. Might as well say everyone who's anyone has a .net name.

Sex sells. There are a lot of hosting services that offer better service and better pricing than Go. They came from no where and are very big now. Sex sells.
