Women And New Voters Looking To Put Georgia In Play For Obama

WaySouth Media went to a Women for Obama/Biden rally in Decatur, Georgia, this past Saturday.

Polls show McCain leading Obama by 8 points among the overall population of likely Georgia voters. Although the Obama campaign for now has not purchased ads in the state, the campaign grassroots efforts are strong and focused on registering new voters by the Oct. 6th deadline. New voters and women might make a crucial difference here. Polling by InsiderAdvantage/Poll Position (conducted 9-18-08) shows likely Georgia women voters favor Obama over McCain by 16 points .

PBS has a poll going for people to vote whether they think Sarah Palin is qualified to be president. Right now the "yes" votes are winning, because the right wing is voting en masse.

To change this trend, click on the link below and vote (you don't have to provide email or personal info, just click yes or no in the link and it will give you to vote to date.

Vote and vote often. It seems, since there is no required identification, you can vote as many times as you'd like!

I am so excited about this! I am from GA and it is always assumed that GA will be red. I say "ENOUGH!" My daughter has been canvassing and helping register new voters. The young people are out in force and working very hard. It would be fantastic to see them all rightly rewarded for their efforts this fall!

Yippee! Working with the campaign, phone banking and canvassing works. We're doing the same in Colorado - registering voters, helping them get mail in ballots. Make it easy and people will do it. I don't think the rep can catch up - no offices in Georgia????
