Greg Becker has devoted his career to financial services for the technology industry, having spent the last eighteen years at Silicon Valley Bank in a variety of leadership roles. Currently, Becker is president of Silicon Valley Bank and its parent company, SVB Financial Group. He previously served as chief operating officer and chief banking officer. In these roles Becker has been responsible for leading the commercial bank’s sales and operational efforts in the 26 domestic offices, and international subsidiaries in the U.K., Israel, India and China. Becker was also the division manager of the company’s Venture Capital Group, where he was responsible for building relationships with, and investing in, venture capital and private equity firms across the U.S. In April 2011, Becker will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of SVB Financial Group.
